What’s been happening:

Michael D. Ryan (BSIE,82) incorporated Accelerate Inc in 2008, and is President and CEO. Accelerate (www.xlr8-inc.com) is a technology development and consulting firm specializing in the life sciences, medical device and clean tech industries. Mike earned his MBA from Bentley College in Waltham, MA in the '90's. Mike is married (26th year to Lisa O'Brien of Shrewsbury, MA) with 2 children. Mike's oldest, son Kilian, attends Clemson University in the Professional Golf Management program and daughter Taylor is a freshman at Nipmuc Regional High School in their hometown of Upton, MA. Since graduation Mike has worked as an Officer in the US Navy (PSU NROTC), and in a variety of engineering, professional, management and executive roles at GE, BOSE, Coopers&Lybrand, Genetic MicroSystems and Affymetrix. Mike has visited PSU on multiple occasions, most recently with his son Kilian during the college search and application process. He anticipates providing his daughter Taylor with encouragement to consider PSU in her college planning decision.
